1. Your Account & Subscription

Registration: To access certain features of the Site, including early access to stories, you may be required to register for an account and purchase a subscription. You agree to keep your password confidential and are responsible for all use of your account and password.

Subscriptions: We offer monthly and non-recurrent subscription services that grant you access to exclusive content. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay all applicable fees associated with the chosen tier.

Renewals & Cancellations: Monthly subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or via PayPal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the subscription content until the end of your current billing cycle.

2. Refund Policy

All purchases and subscription payments made on BHFun are final and non-refundable. Because our service provides immediate access to digital content, we cannot offer refunds for any reason, including if you forget to cancel your subscription before a renewal date.

3. Intellectual Property

My Content: Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and all content, stories, text, designs, graphics, and databases on the Site are my proprietary property. You are granted a limited license to access and read the content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, aggregate, republish, upload, post, publicly display, encode, translate, transmit, distribute, sell, or license any part of my work without my express prior written permission.

Your Comments (User Contributions): When you post comments or participate in discussions on the Site, you retain ownership of your words. However, by posting, you grant me a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to display and use those comments on the Site.

4. User Conduct (House Rules)

BHFun is a community for readers to enjoy stories. To keep this a safe and welcoming space, you agree not to:

• Use the Site to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
• Post spam, unwanted advertising, or promotional material.
• Attempt to bypass any security measures or access content you haven’t paid for.
• Use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Upload viruses, trojan horses, or other malicious code.

I reserve the right to ban users and terminate accounts (without a refund) for anyone who violates these rules or engages in harmful behavior.

5. Site Availability

I cannot guarantee the Site will be available at all times. I may experience hardware, software, or other problems, or need to perform maintenance resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors. I reserve the right to change, revise, update, suspend, or discontinue the Site at any time without notice.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. I make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the Site’s content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of the Site.

7. Third-Party Websites

The Site may contain links to other websites (such as PayPal). I am not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or the use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

1. Information I Collect

I only collect information that you voluntarily provide to me, or that is necessary for the Site to function.

• Account Information: When you register for an account or purchase a subscription, I collect your username, email address, and any other contact details you provide.
• Payment Data: All payments are processed securely through PayPal. I do not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers or bank details on my servers. Please refer to PayPal’s Privacy Policy for more information on how they handle your data.
• Connected Accounts: If you choose “Continue with Google”, or connect your DeviantArt or Discord account, I receive basic details from that service, such as your name, email address or username. For DeviantArt and Discord, this includes whether you watch or subscribe, so the Site can give you the right access.
• Things You Write: Comments, forum posts and messages you send on the Site, along with your username, and anything you send through the contact form or the Your Data form.
• Log Data: Like most websites, the Site automatically collects basic log data when you visit (e.g., your IP address, browser type, and pages visited).

I do not process sensitive personal information, nor do I collect any information from third-party data brokers.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use your information strictly to operate the Site and provide you with a good experience. Specifically, I use it to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Deliver the subscription services you requested.
• Respond to your support emails or inquiries.
• Send administrative emails, such as password resets or updates to these policies.
• Protect the Site against fraud or abuse.

3. How I Share Your Information

I respect your privacy. I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

I only share your information in the following limited situations:

• Service Providers: I use trusted third-party services to help operate the Site. They only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific tasks:
  • WordPress.com (Automattic) hosts the Site.
  • Akismet (Automattic) checks comments and membership sign-ups for spam. To do this, it receives what you wrote, your name, email address and IP address.
  • PayPal processes payments.
  • Google, DeviantArt and Discord only if you choose to sign in or connect your account with them.
• Legal Obligations: I may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

4. Cookies

The Site uses cookies to keep you logged in, save your preferences, and ensure the Site functions properly. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but please note that some features of the Site may not work correctly if you do so. The Cookie Policy explains each cookie and how long it lasts.

5. Data Retention & Security

I keep your information only for as long as you have an active account with me, or as long as necessary to comply with my legal obligations (like tax records). When I no longer need your information, I will securely delete it.

I have reasonable security measures in place to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security against hackers or unauthorized breaches.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Site contains adult-oriented content and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18 (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). I do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If I learn that a minor has provided me with personal information, I will immediately delete their account and data.

This policy explains the small files (cookies) and the browser storage that BHFun uses, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. BHFun doesn’t use advertising cookies and doesn’t sell or share information about your visits for advertising.

These are set by BHFun itself. Without them you couldn’t confirm your age, sign in or pay, so they can’t be switched off on the site.

Some features rely on other companies, which may set their own cookies under their own policies.

Things remembered on your own device

Some settings are kept only in your browser’s storage on your phone or computer. They never leave your device and are used only to make the site work the way you left it:

• Whether you chose the light or dark look.
• Where you were in a chapter, so you can carry on reading.
• Anything you’d started writing in a forum post or message, so it isn’t lost if you leave the page by mistake.
• Your choices on pages like the DeviantArt Gallery (for example, whether mature thumbnails are shown).

Notifications

If you turn on notifications on a device, your browser gives the site an address to send them to. It’s used only to send you BHFun notifications, and it’s removed when you turn them off.

Your choices

You can delete cookies and site storage at any time in your browser’s settings, and most browsers let you block cookies. If you block the cookies the site needs, you won’t be able to sign in or pay. For anything else about your information, see the Privacy Policy or use the Your Data form.

1. Membership Requirements

Only Supporter or Superstar tier members may request and purchase a commission. You must remain a subscribed member for the duration of your commission request. By making a commission request, you also agree to our Accepted Content Policy.

2. Pricing

By making a request, you accept that you will pay $16 per chapter whenever payment is requested.

3. The Request Process

After you make a request, your story will be placed into a Pending state. After review, I will either accept the commission, request further information before making a decision, or reject the request.

I will always provide a reason if I require more information or reject the request.

4. The Waiting List

If your request is accepted, it will automatically be added to the Waiting List and assigned an estimated release month on the commission calendar. Please note that the estimated release date may change depending on other stories and my overall availability.

5. Production Schedule

A maximum of one chapter per story will be written per month, with latter chapters written in subsequent months.

6. Activating Your Commission & Payments

When your request is number 1 on the waiting list and a commission slot opens up, your story will be marked as Active. Once active, you will receive an email requesting payment for your first chapter.

All subsequent payment requests for future chapters will take place at the start of each month.

Note: It may take some time after payment for your commission status to be marked as paid, as I need to manually verify and update the status.

7. Payment Deadlines & Cancellations

Once payment has been requested, you will have 7 days to make the payment. If payment has not been made within 7 days, you will receive a reminder requesting payment.

If you fail to pay following the reminder request, your request may be cancelled and the next requester on the waiting list will become active. It is possible to return to the waiting list after being removed, but you will have to wait for an active story to complete before your story is resumed.
